Community Update Regarding Bainbridge Logistics Center and Truck Routing
We understand and share the community’s concerns regarding increased truck traffic on local roads surrounding the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center property. To provide clarification, the Bainbridge Development Corporation no longer owns or manages the parcels that have been developed into the Bainbridge Logistics Center, including facilities currently in operation. While BDC previously held ownership of this land, these properties have since been sold and are now under private ownership and management. As a result, BDC does not have authority over current site operations, tenant activity, or transportation logistics associated with these facilities, including truck routing.
We recognize the impact that this situation is having on our local roads and residents. Cecil County Administration is actively engaged in addressing these concerns, including coordination with Ryder, local law enforcement and the State Highway Administration to improve signage and routing for truck traffic. BDC remains committed to the long-term success and well-being of the Port Deposit community. While we are not directly involved in ownership or operations at the logistics center, we support ongoing efforts to find effective solutions and encourage safe practices that respect our local infrastructure and neighborhoods.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage residents to share any ongoing concerns with Cecil County officials or Ryder as they work toward resolution.
For ongoing concerns or questions please contact the Cecil County Administrative Building at 410-996-5200.
